Sean P. Ferguson has been a regular fixture at The Velvet from its inception. I had the pleasure of being in a writing group with him several years ago, along with Craig Wallwork and a few other people from The Velvet. From the first time I read one of Sean’s stories, I knew exactly where he was coming from. Here was a man writing about life. There’s really no other way to explain it. Soaring from elation and joy to the depths of raw pain and agony, then sideswiping across with blind rage, Sean is the master of capturing his emotions with words and making them sing like sweet poetry.
Then there’s the Down Periscope part of the story. Robb Olson and Livius Nedin of Booked manage to get Sean, or Ferg as he likes to be called, to spill the beans about the Down Periscope story. It’s probably best if Ferg tells you himself.
